It was a long day just before the 4th of July holiday. It’s always busy the day before a holiday. Everyone wants their dogs out of the shelters so as to not have to spend another day there with everyone gone for the holiday. First I picked up the two chihuahuas at the vet hospital in San Bernardino; they had been pulled from the San Bernardino shelter the previous day. Then I met Trudy and picked up the chihuahuas to be transported to the valley and to Sky who will be fostering and adopting them to their furever homes. From there I went to another shelter, picked up a little terrier and transported him to Santa Barbara and his foster mom who will be adopting him to his furever home. It was a long day with the fosters separated by many miles, but it was worth it as 3 lives were saved and have a chance at a much better future.
