Today I went to the Devore shelter and pulled these four very frightened, very scared dogs who were very much wanting to leave the shelter. As you can see, some walked, some rode and some were carried. I knew that if they were going to be hard to load, they would be twice as hard to off-load at the vet clinic I was taking them to. But as it turned out, that wasn’t the case. The lab mix had never been on a leash before so he was by far the most difficult. I knew he wanted to bite, but he didn’t, which I was grateful for. The shepherd was fine and hopped right out, he was just scared out of his mind. The poor old cocker really didn’t seem to know what was going on and the terrier just went along with the program. All were delivered to the vet clinic where they will be picked up in a few days to being their journey north.
