Yep, these guys came from a very high kill shelter in the desert, but they’re on their way to a Santa Barbara rescue and knowing that town and the good folks who live there, these guys will need to brush up on their dog paddling. It’s nothing but the beach life for these guy and gals now. Once they are groomed, bathed and vet checked, it’s nothing but sand and surf for these folks. If only all could be so lucky, but if any deserve a break it’s them. They were all going to be killed within the next 48 hours if a rescue did not step up. Well one did, and lucky them. Now to work on the others.
It’s Dobie Day
Yep, they all start to look alike when you are staring at 130 Doberman Pinschers. But after a few minutes of wandering through them you realize just how lovable the breed is. I have been working with a Dobie rescue in another area and they found the Dobie rescue that is in Fillmore. I honestly forgot they were there. Well any way, the out of area Dobie rescue wanted me to check them out and I did and all was well, except they have a lot of Dobies. Well now that the two rescues are working together, it seems that the out of area rescue needs a lot of Dobies because they can’t get them there. We can sure fix that. With our prolific ongoing breeding program that is so popular in certain areas, we can provide all the Dobies that any one would ever want. Yes they do make sure all are going to good homes and proper checks are done. They are a life saver for the Dobies in our area. Wish I could connect other breeds as well that are so abundant in our area. We will keep trying.
