Yes, that day was busy day, beside the pups we also rescued all these guys. It’s all we could take. There were more that needed to come, but we just didn’t have the room for more. As some had kennel cough, not all were vetted yesterday, so therefore not all will leave on the next transport north. Those that will need to get better will be given the time to recuperate and then be vetted again and made ready for their trip. All will get their chance at a better life than they have every known in our state.
Bath Time!!!!
I believe we would all agree that Coco needs a bath and grooming and a proper vet checkup as only the beginning of her long road ahead to finding a forever home. See, Coco was going to be killed by the shelter because she is bitey and has not had much socialization in her life. Most likely, she was kept in the back yard and no one paid much attention to her; and I bet she didn’t pay much attention to them either. But this is exactly what happens with no human contact: you get a mostly feral dog. That being said, she is on her way to a great rescue who will do all the work it takes to turn her around. It’s one dog at a time.
