That’s right, today starts their first leg of a long journey to that forever home up in the northwest. Since pickins weren’t very good down here, they will have to go where the homes are. Today these little ones will go to a overnight boarding facility, where the next day they will load up in a big transport van and be off down the road and pull into the northwest area some 20 hours later, where folks are waiting for them. Usually within a few days they have been adopted and are getting settled in to their new life. So many folks make up the chain that gets them where they need to be. That’s why I am but one link in the chain that stretches so far.
And They Were Due To Die
I didn’t transport these pups, just paid for them to be brought down from a tiny shelter in central California to our boarding facility where they will be vetted and prepped for their journey north when they are ready. It should be this week maybe or next, or whenever the vet says they can travel. Already have a rescue who is waiting patiently for their arrival. In no time they will be in their forever homes. Safe and sound.
