I finally pulled this dog (#35) at 6:15 p.m. on a Friday. He was scheduled to be killed at the end of the day and so many people worked so hard on getting him out at the very last, I mean very last minute. I have had them killed while at the counter, paperwork completed, then the big oops. So this fella just made it out of the gate, literally. He was delivered to a wonderful foster mom who was in tears when he was delivered. If only #35 knew how hard people worked for him and how close he came to crossing the rainbow bridge.
My Name Is Ralph
I was saved from the Camarillo shelter and transported to Huntington Beach to be with Jacqueline, who is an independent rescuer from down in the San Juan Capistrano area. As you can see I was very excited to finally be out of the shelter in Camarillo. Meeting Jackie and all the new surroundings was a bit much for me. Holding still for my pics was also something I was not good at. I wanted everyone to know that my Pet Pass Donor was Lisa K. and I wanted to say thank you with a big sloppy kiss if I could. You are the only reason I am alive today. Without you doing what you did, I sadly would not be here and this meeting would not be taking place. As I move on to my forever home, through Jackie’s help, I will always remember you and what opportunities you have provided. Hugs and kisses, Ralph.
