Who Strikes Terror In The People’s Heart!!!

September 7, 2011 by Animal Resources

(Is This The Face Of T- Rex?)

I only had one dog to transport to Baldwin Park to meet up with Glen. It was 105 degrees there so I drove around and found a shady spot under some trees in a church parking lot. Nice and quiet and peaceful. For a while. Two of Baldwin Park’s police cruisers pulled up and said the owner of the property objected to us being there as she didn’t want any pit bulls on her property. I explained that we were just sitting in the shade, trying to beat the heat and the dogs would not be let out to walk around and wouldn’t bother anyone. After I explained that I rescue and transport the dogs to find homes out of state, she calmed down a bit and the police handled it very well. And they were very nice and polite. I will say that she was terrified of poor shadow and there was no way I was going to talk her into giving him a chance. But all ended well with me sitting in the shade and T-Rex in the back wondering what it was all about. Best he never knows.

And They Just Keep Coming…

September 6, 2011 by Animal Resources

These are just 2 of 11 dogs that I transported to a rescue in Lamoor, located in the Central Valley about 4 hours north of Ventura County. Although we sent 11 dogs north, we only freed up 4 kennels at the shelter. With the numbers being turned in, we are but a finger in a dyke trying to hold back the flood. But if we didn’t save them, who would? Probably no one. They would be dead, never to go on to a full life, bringing joy and happiness to so many. Now at least these guys have a chance at a life. There are no guarantees, no promises, just a chance. that’s all we offer.
