While at the Devore shelter I also pulled a mama pittie and her 7 puppies from the shelter. She looked to be very young and this is maybe her first litter. They are only a week and a half old, too young to be moving around, but if there are to live they have to get out of the shelter now. An independent rescuer named P.J. will be fostering them until they are old enough for adoption. They looked healthy at this point and I told them to call me if they need any advice on their care. I know that I left them in very capable and loving hands.

On Sunday I went to the Devore shelter in San Bernardino County and picked up a young dobie that had been severely neglected by a previous owner. To say that he didn’t act like your typical 7 month old dobie is an understatement. This poor boy was barely able to walk and showed no curiosity concerning his surroundings. And he did get car sick on the way to the rescue. This poor boy has been through too much. I delivered him to L.A Dobie Rescue and I know he is in good hands with Nina now. Maybe there is hope.
