Remember Sweet Cheeks?

February 7, 2012 by Animal Resources

Last week I transported her to the Calabasas Vet Clinic from the shelter with a bad case of kennel cough, click here for details. I picked her up today and she was doing great. Running and jumping everywhere, so happy to be out. We were soon on our way to Top Dog in the valley to meet a transport going north later that night. But as sometimes happens, things can go awry. I was told that the transport would not be at the meet up location until the following day. Well looks like its Plan B for Sweet cheeks. We contacted a foster in Thousand Oaks who agreed to host her for the night, so off we went to T.O. and I really believe Sweet Cheeks just loved it there. I last saw her when I was leaving and she was so happy just to be out playing she didn’t even notice I was leaving. That’s alright, getting her to where she is safe and happy is what’s important. She is scheduled for pick up on Wednesday by someone else as I will be transporting others to their intermediate stops getting ready for their transport. Never ends.

Now Who Wouldn’t Adopt One Of These?

February 4, 2012 by Animal Resources

On Saturday I headed out to Indio, CA. Yes, that Indio, way out in the desert off the I-10, to pick up these little ones and bring them to an adoption event in Orange County. To say that it took a few moments to load, may be an understatement. Each little guy had to be looked at and fussed over thoroughly before loading, and yes, there were a few tears shed by the foster mom Bonnie that kept getting in the way. Well we finally got them all bedded down for there first ride in a van and we made sure each was as comfy as possible. Did they know what was really going on? Probably not, but they enjoyed the attention. They all were very quiet, some kept looking out the back windows at the passing cars and I would have loved to know what was going on in their little minds. They seemed so full of wonder and awe at it all. Must be nice to start out with everything being so wonderful in there world. If we could only keep it that way.
