I was at the Camarillo shelter bright and early this morning, ready to pick up the 8 little guys I had pulled on Saturday. I added one more, plus pulled a pittie for its new owner to pick up later in the afternoon. They were all ready to go and I wanted to say thank you to the staff who were very cooperative in getting them out and on the road. All of these guys went to Stonecliffe Animal Rescue near Fresno, where I know they will get adopted very quickly. That is the why in what we do in rescue. Get them into good homes.

I picked up this girl from the Downey shelter and took her to Top Dog Boarding. She will stay there until Wednesday then head to a rescue in Oregon. I had to make it today because this was it for her. No more reprieves, no more waiting. She was going to die tonight if we didn’t make it happen. We did and now she is safe. But there were others that will die tonight, so sad and unnecessary.
