I went to a vet clinic in south L.A. to retrieve five little dogs that had not had much socialization and were very afraid of people. I don’t know why they all acted this way, but you could tell they were used to being on their own without much human involvement in their lives. They are going to a rescue in Arizona that has promised to work with them and get them on the path to adoption as quickly as possible. Lucky for these guys there are people in this this world who care, not all are as lucky.
Two Old Country Dogs
I went all the way up to Santa Maria to transport these guys to a vet clinic in Westlake for a rescue that was the only one to step up for these guys. While not highly socialized, and without any training at all, these guys were just farm dogs prior to being turned in to the shelter, for what reason I can only guess. It couldn’t have been the cost of upkeep, as they appear to never have had a bath, one had a skin condition that was never treated and one looked a little thin for a lab his size. But the rescue is willing to do what is necessary to get this guys on the adoption path to a loving home as soon as possible. It will take awhile, but it will be done, if I know this rescue.
