I also went to the Camarillo shelter today and picked up the four dogs I pulled on Wednesday. The little Yorkie has been at boarding and now these guys are on their way too. Sometime next week they will be riding up north in a private motor coach and just enjoy life as snow birds. They are going to a great rescue and I know will be adopted very quickly.

Today I pulled 5 little ones for a rescue up north, but only one could leave the shelter, as the others needed to be fixed before being released. That’s all good and expected. But lo and behold the littlest and tiniest of the lot was a handful to deal with. This little guy wanted no part in whatever we had planned for him. He didn’t want to walk on a leash, didn’t want to get in the kennel, didn’t want to be picked up and didn’t care how unhappy he made everyone who tried to deal with him. Making friends was not part of his nature and he was having no part in any of it. It looks like the rescue will have their hands full with this little guy. And I am sure that a lot of training is in his future. But he was very cute.
