On Wednesday I went out to the City of San Bernardino shelter and I was in a hurry. The last two times that this rescue tried to rescue a momma and her pups, the shelter went ahead and put them all down before we could show up. Well this time I was there at the opening bell and wasn’t going to give them that chance. As you can see we were successful and got them out before it was their time in the killing room. They are now safely at the foster’s home and at this time doing fine. It will be a couple of weeks before they are ready to travel and they already have fosters waiting for them up north. Wish all ended on such a high note, all we can do is keep trying.

Today I picked up the two labs I dropped off at the vet last week when they were pulled from the shelter. I took them to a training and boarding facility in Santa Barbara to further their people skills and await a foster home. As you can see from the pics I took of the play area, I think they will really enjoy their stay. It looks very dog friendly and I love the use of the rocks, plants and wood in the area. You will notice they use a treadmill for exercise and the pool looks inviting for those who want to use it. This place really is a notch above many I have seen.
