Today I went to the Camarillo shelter to pick up two dogs that were not having much luck. The little chi was turned in to the shelter by the adoptive parents who adopted him last August. When I found out about it (and I will) I contacted the rescue, but they said they didn’t want her back. I was shocked and pissed. Ok, you won’t get her back and I won’t pull for them anymore. I contacted TLC and Linda agreed to take the little one in at her store front in Simi Valley and hopefully she will find her furever home through them. Not all rescues are created equal. I also pulled the boxer from Camarillo and took him to the vet in the valley, where he will be staying until his kennel cough gets better, then he is off to a foster for Boxer Rescue. He will have no problem in finding his furever home.
Transport To Washington State
These were the 5 pitties I took up to the Seattle area on a private transport August 1 – 3. Sema, the black one, went directly to her adoptive parents home when we arrived. Myri, with the eye problem, went home with a rescuer. The others will be in boarding for a week or so, until room is made in foster homes. It was a long trip, with a 5 hour delay en route due to a brush fire which closed I-5 near Redding. All the dogs were wonderful and behaved so well. I never had a better group to transport over such a long distance. I am checking up on them every few days. So far all is well.
