August 9, 2016 by Animal Resources

Moses is ready for his forever home!Moses is a playful 2 year old Rottie. He became good friends with another rescue named Phoenix. He has also been around small dogs and cats. Moses would do great in a home with another dog. He loves to run, and play fetch. Knows basic commands and is ready to learn a few more. If you are interested in Moses please contact [email protected] to setup a meet and greet.

He has come such a long way since he was pulled from a shelter in February, see his story and photos here:

4 Years On A Chain

July 1, 2016 by Animal Resources

This pitty that I picked up from a family has spent the last 4 years on the chain that you see in the photo. A rescue finally talked them into releasing Charlie so he may have at least a chance of a better life. He was in good shape physically but he was desperate for someone, anyone, to pay attention to him. Socialized? Not so much. The family didn’t understand that they were doing anything wrong. The dog was fed, watered and he could move around – IN A 5 FOOT CIRCLE. What more could he possibly want? Geez, where do you start explaining that there is much more to a dog than that. I told them they might consider a potted plant instead of any animal that needs so much more than what they were willing to give. Charlie’s continuous and never ending barking, and the resulting upset neighbors, was their undoing and Charlie’s salvation. He is now out and has been vetted; then a short stay in boarding will be his last time in a strange place. Soon he will be at a rescue who is known for the care and unending love they have provided to many others. Charlie’s time has come.

Please contact us if you are interested in adopting Charlie, we are happy to put you in touch with the rescue organization.
