Today I transported two very lucky senior dogs that were pulled by a great rescue. Everyone knows that they wouldn’t have stood a chance of getting adopted when there are so many younger ones available. Sad but it’s the world we live in. Luckily for them the rescue decided that they wanted them and off we went to their very temporary homes until they find their forever homes. I wish more people would consider the senior dogs as they are all very well behaved, most come from places that owners have passed on and the family could not or would not keep the dog, no matter what was promised to the previous owner. I know some have issues, but most do not. They are just looking for a place to rest awhile before moving on one final time. Aren’t we all.
Only The Noses Know
Today I pulled four from a shelter for a rescue and all were labeled aggressive by the shelter. I handled them all and they were fine. Scared, frightened, not knowing what was going on, all the usual concerns. They loaded fine, were more than a little curious as to their new surroundings and just sniffed their little hearts out. Of course I got good pics of their noses, which means that I was either very focused on what I was doing or I just took dumb pics. I think it was the latter as it is very difficult for me to take good pics and handle the dogs at the same time. Just can’t do everything well.
