This poor guy has been through the ringer. First his “owner” was arrested for robbery and for a couple of weeks he was left alone except the neighbors fed and watered him. Then a rescue went by to get him and somehow he got loose and split out into the desert and they couldn’t find him. Two weeks later he was recaptured, very thin and not looking good. Another rescue stepped up and found him a foster in central CA; but now they had to get him up there, and not lose him on the way, as he is very skittish and will bolt at the first opportunity. I drove down to Sylmar and met up with someone coming in from the high desert area. We transferred him with no problem, and then I drove him up to Carpinteria to meet up with another rescuer who took him part way and then she met up with someone else to finally get him to his destination. The poor guy was on the road all day and part of the evening, but now he is in a much better place; safe and sound with no further mishaps in is long journey to find a home. Many thanks to all the rescuers who made his trip safe and as comfortable as can be. It’s what it’s all about.
Went To Get Four, Got Two
Today I went to one shelter to get one dog, that’s fine. He was there and I pulled and loaded him then off to the second one. Well at the other shelter it seems that another rescue wanted the same dog, like there is a shortage. After everyone had spoken to each other it was decided that the other rescue could have him and he left with them. Of the too little chi mixes, I pulled one and the other is not available until Saturday. Hopefully a rescue will step up for him. We will keep checking to make sure. At least two of the four are now moving along on their way to being adopted at some near date. Just one dog at a time.
