A Tripod And A Stray

May 4, 2013 by Animal Resources

Today I went to a vet office and picked up this poor Dalmatian mix that had lost its back leg. So sad. Why it was lost or how I don’t know, I am just very glad that a rescue stepped up and was willing to take him and provide a foster who will help with his rehab and finally give him a place to mend and recoup. The little stray was so sweet and loving. He was found by a couple who contacted a rescue after they couldn’t find the owner. They were also willing to put him in foster and find him his forever home. Lucky him. Wish all were as fortunate.

Very Scared Little Cattle Dog Mix

May 2, 2013 by Animal Resources

I picked her up from a shelter today and we headed north to meet her new foster mom. She appears to be maybe around 8 years old, going by the graying around the mussel, but she has gray in her coat so maybe she is actually younger. It’s so hard to tell at times, not knowing any back story on her. I would also say that she is mixed with corgi, as she had no tail and very short legs. And she was so cute. Did I mention that she is also pregnant? She will have the cutest puppies ever. There will be so many waiting for her pups that they will have to have a drawing. Well as she is now out of the shelter, on her way to a better life, our work returns to the not so lucky still locked up and always under threat of dying. It never ends.
