Today I had to go all the way to San Pedro to finally get Romeo out of jail. This was his very last day and I pulled him on through with the understanding I will be by at 8:00 a.m. sharp to get him. Well I was there and Romeo was ready. This big boy is about 85 lbs. and knows how to pull you around on a leash; and he knows it. It took two of us to get him in a kennel and he cried the whole time. Hula, on the other hand, I picked up out in Corona and as she is for the same rescue, both went to boarding together and will also be transported up north together. It looks like they will be together for a while longer. Buds.
Our First Day
Today I transported this lab boy, Camper, up to Napa California to start his training as a drug enforcement dog. Wow is all I can say. He is one of our shelter dogs that was turned in because he was to hyperactive, says the previous owner. That is the type of dog that makes an excellent working dog. We all wish him the best over the next several months or years in his newfound career and hope many more to follow him.
