This morning it was up at 4:00 a.m. sharp so I could get my stuff done and be on the road to be in Studio City at 7:00 a.m. to pick up this kitty for transport as the foster had to leave for work also. It was a short meet and greet, grab the kitty and we were back on the road, heading north this time. Next stop, Santa Barbara area. This little gray tabby has no idea in this world how lucky she is. But as a sweet kitty she is all prepared for her new home, where she will make herself right at home as all kitties will do. She was delivered safe and sound, and not a care in the world. Such are cats.
A Scary Ride, For Both Of Us
Today I pulled and transported this fella from the shelter to boarding, with a stop along the way to pick up one more that will be going north on a transport. This shepherd mix, with no name, has never been socialized and was very scared of people. Well he destroyed his large kennel while being transported and got loose in the van. Needless to say there were some tense moments as we barreled down the freeway at 70 mph. He is about the size of a full grown shepherd but he curled up next to another kennel and I was hoping he would stay there until we got to a safe place to pull over. We did and I got him secured and reloaded in another kennel, then we had a quiet trip to the boarding facility. I off loaded him and there he will wait for his next ride north and hopefully find his long awaited forever home.
