Again, it was a last minute rush to get this mom and pups out before it was kill time. And again a rescue steps up and saves the day. Day after day this goes on and on. But sometimes the rescue doesn’t come forward and then they are killed. So sad and so preventable. You can’t blame the shelters, it’s the people who are at fault. Maybe they don’t have access to low cost spay-neuter, or maybe they just don’t care. Whatever the reason, the results will lay on the cold concrete floor before being tossed into the ever present barrel. End of story.
Are We Looking A Little Lost?
Today I pulled from a shelter that is not known to be a warm and fuzzy one. Well this little guy was very frightened and was ready to go. He did have a look about him of not being sure what was coming next but he was going to deal with it, that’s for sure. He just wanted one more chance to show his stuff and he knew all would be well. I believe he now has that in the rescue that is taking him. One paw forward at a time and soon what is behind is history…
