In rescue, sick dogs are more the norm than the unusual, it’s just the way things are. Today I pulled Buster from the Camarillo shelter and I took him to Westlake Village Animal Hospital, checked him in and waited for Gracie to be checked out. I brought her in 5-6 days ago and, as you can see, she is so much better. You will also notice it was a teary eyed departure for Gracie with some of the staff members. We all said our goodbyes and they all knew that on Monday Gracie would be on her way to a very good rescue in Tucson. That helps a little, but sometimes it’s just not enough. It hurts when you are a foster or other caregiver and you see your favorite leave, again its part of rescue. But it is so hard sometimes.
