Today I went to a shelter and pulled this very assorted mix of small dogs that were on their last day on earth. All were labeled aggressive, but I handled them all and none were found to be aggressive, at least with me. Again you have to wonder what is going on for so many little dogs to be so endangered. Not enough homes to go around or is it that people don’t care as much as they used to. I don’t have the answer but for these guys to be put down says something is wrong somewhere. If it takes mandatory spay-neuter in this state, then that’s what it needs to be. People won’t do it by themselves , so if they want to breed their animals, or don’t care if they breed, then it should cost them. Dearly. Big bucks. Then maybe it might slow down the death rate, not stop it, just slow it. So many lives lost for no reason at all. So sick.
