Today I did the normal spay-neuter run for a shelter to the local spay-neuter clinic. Of the 10 dogs aboard for transport, there was one that will hold a dear place in the staff’s heart. Of all the dogs that have gone through the clinic (thousands and thousands) dear Lilly has been forever tagged with being the most aggressive and vicious dog ever to have been admitted to the clinic. As I was not present, I was told that it took four of the techs to get her under control using poles and finally holding her down to give the first shot to get her under control. Why no one was bitten must be a miracle, as she was very aggressive and did try to bite anyone that came close. I have seen the ladies deal with grumpy dogs before and they really know how to handle them and get them prepped for the operation they are there for. For Lilly’s, I am so glad no one was injured and hopefully a way will be found to deal with this personality trait before something bad happens.
