These boys don’t realize how lucky they are. Once boarded, the flight is about 5 hours to Oregon and another hour to Washington versus 20 hours by ground. The dogs seen here come from all different shelters around Southern California, from Camarillo we managed to board 4 of our pit bulls on this flight. The plane will hold maybe 27 dogs of different sizes. Yes, are they squeezed in. Are they a little uncomfortable? Maybe. Considering the alternative they are very lucky indeed. The pilot, Yehuda, totally donates the entire flight at his expense. All we have to do is show up, proper documentation in hand and help load.
What a deal and he does this at least once a month. To say thank you Yehuda, somehow doesn’t seem enough, but it is all we have and all they have, so again we say thank you from all!
