This girl had some medical issues, so I picked her up at the vets office at the crack of dawn today. This vet is the only one I have been to that opens at 6:00am. As we headed out of town, going north to meet up in Ventura with someone that would be taking her farther north, she was just looking out the back of the van like she was saying goodbye to Los Angeles, maybe forever, who knows. Even though she weighs in a 65 lbs or so, she was so gentle and just glad to be with someone. I don’t know her back-story, but will never understand why someone would give this dog up. Now she is on her way to whole new life and I am sure every day will be a new adventure.

Such A Good Mom
Today I was in the high desert picking up a mom and her pups. She was a little skinny, but what a good mom. I also picked up this little black lab mix that no one seems to want. Still a pup herself, she had never been on a leash and just didn’t know what to do. So we carried her, as time was short and training will have to wait for a better time. Mom worried about her pups the whole trip even though they were in the next kennel as we traveled to where they will wait for their ride north. All in all this rescue did well and I am sure these will all be in their new homes in no time and will have forgotten their past. We hope so, as we all move on to the next ones, as there always are.
