Today I did another fly-away at another airport. Everyone was really good as we had to wait for the plane to be fixed. Yesterday I did another one at a different airport, with the same plane. It must have gotten back ok, but it did develop a problem that had to be fixed. Once it was fixed everyone was loaded and off they went heading out on their first leg of their trip. In 5 hours it will be over and they will be out playing. Ground transport takes up to 30 hours and that is a long time. That’s why we would rather fly them than drive them. 300 to 500 dogs a week are making the exodus out of California. And there is no end in sight. Our prolific breeding program is alive and well and they just keep on coming. So sad. A never ending story.

Meet Freddie
Freddie has history. Seems Freddie got loose from somewhere and was picked up and turned into a shelter. And low and behold someone shows up to claim him, but they had no proof that Freddie ever belonged to them, not even a picture. The staff was a little leery of just taking this guy’s word because parts of his story just didn’t make sense. So after a long consultation between experts it was decided that after the legal stray hold was up, Freddie would be off to a good rescue that would get him to a new home (nicer, maybe) as quickly as possible. Well, I picked him up and he is now at a better place and starting to enjoy life again. Good luck Freddie and it won’t be long before all will be right in your world.
