Today I pull these two from a shelter for someone who knew of the dogs past history and was very concerned as to their future. Even though the shelter was supposedly no kill (90%), I still don’t trust them not to put a dog down if space becomes an issue. Just won’t risk it when it comes to lives. These dogs prior owner died suddenly (at a young age too) and the family wanted nothing to do with the dogs, so they landed up at the shelter thru no fault of their own. A very concerned non-related party saw it happen and wanted them to go to another good home, like the one they used to have. So I pulled them and now we will try to get them that home they deserve and a rescue that will properly look after them until we do. They both are good with kids, other animal and horses too. So now they will wait and soon we will find that home and their odyssey will end.

From The Desert To The Sea Shore
Yep, these guys came from a very high kill shelter in the desert, but they’re on their way to a Santa Barbara rescue and knowing that town and the good folks who live there, these guys will need to brush up on their dog paddling. It’s nothing but the beach life for these guy and gals now. Once they are groomed, bathed and vet checked, it’s nothing but sand and surf for these folks. If only all could be so lucky, but if any deserve a break it’s them. They were all going to be killed within the next 48 hours if a rescue did not step up. Well one did, and lucky them. Now to work on the others.
