This little chihuahua was rescued early last week and was being held for spay/neuter by the shelter, which they did on the 9th. And guess what? He was forgotten by everyone. Me, the rescue and the shelter. He was fixed, returned back to his kennel (#89) and just stayed there while others came and went, he just looked on wondering when his day would come. Well it was today. I received a call from the shelter wondering when I was going to pick him up. I did not remember pulling him and said what dog? Then it hit me. OMG we had forgotten him. I rushed over to the shelter and within 10 minutes he was in my car and heading to the rescue, he should have gone to a week ago. If you look closely at the picture you will see that he was not a happy camper spending an extra week waiting for me to show up. My apologies little guy, I promise it won’t happen again.

The Saga of Zoey
Today I pulled Zoey from the shelter and transported him to a kennel in Sun Valley where he will be safe until next week when I transport him to Baldwin Park and then it will be on to Tucson for him. At least he is safe at the moment. As long as they are in the shelter, they are not. If Zoey hadn’t met Diane on the streets of Ventura, I am sure his fate would have been sealed. Diane has done so much to help Zoey, and I like to think Zoey knows it. She has raised funds, visited him at the shelter, played with him there and generally been a guardian angel to Zoey. Thank you doesn’t seem enough, but it is all I have, so a very BIG THANK YOU, DIANE for all you have done. Zoey’s journey isn’t over yet, but at least we have started it.
