Meet Cooper, who is so sweet and just wants a little attention. I am sure she never received that at her former home. I went to the Downey shelter and pulled her for Lily’s Legacy Rescue and transported her up north to the San Francisco area. She suffers from Cushing’s Disease and some of her appearance is attributed to that disease, but the filth and lack of keeping her clean is not. She was so dirty and missing so much hair in patches that it was hard to tell what was good fur and what wasn’t. This was nothing but neglect. How people can treat a dog like this is beyond me. Cooper is in good hands now with Ally at the rescue. I am sure that soon we will see photos of a completely different dog. She also had a vet visit scheduled today. Can’t wait to read that one.

The Journey Of Tonka And Kyrie
If these guys are getting a little tired of moving around, I don’t blame them. I pulled them from the Camarillo shelter in late March and they went to medical boarding as they both had kennel cough. It took a few weeks for that to clear up then they went to boarding to await their turn at a foster to open up, and that took a couple of weeks. So all told, it’s been almost a month since they were pulled from the shelter and now they are finally on their way to a foster home in Tucson, AZ and to hopefully find their furever home. It’s been quite a trip for these guys, but they are doing well. They are both very playful and I am sure they’re both wondering when things will settle down for them, well, so are we.
