Can you imagine spending a year in a boarding kennel, waiting and waiting and hoping that that next person through the door will take you out of this dungeon and perhaps let you run free again, to find out what it’s like to lay under a tree and just sleep in the sun once more? Well if it hadn’t been for one Indy rescuer, this might never have come true for these guys. She has made it her one focus in life to get all ten dogs out and into homes or at least fosters. So far six have left, four remain. The goal is all out by the end of January. These two are flying north and hopefully the others will be following soon. One dog at a time (maybe two) is all we can do.

“Are We There Yet?”
I pulled this little gal from North Central L.A. today for a rescue way out in the desert, and on the long ride out there she was so quiet you couldn’t even tell she was there. She was a little nervous when she first came out of the kennel area but quickly settled right down. I know the trip was long for her, as she seemed to be saying “are we there yet?” and I kept telling her just a little while longer. Finally we met up with her rescue person and quickly transferred her to the other car. Again she had that look “are we there yet?” I know by now they are there, so I wonder what she thinks?
