Today I spent much of the day on the road to various shelters getting out the last for the year. First I went to Lancaster and pulled this little pregnant chihuahua mommy. She was not bitey, but could be from the way she responded. They did tie her muzzle before giving her a micro chip. After that she was fine and off we when to a boarding kennel close by. Next I went to the Camarillo shelter and pulled a chow for a rescue. Such a love bug, the sweetest chow I have ever met. Why he is in the shelter is beyond me, he is so sweet. I delivered him to a boarding facility in Sunland and by then it was too late to try and go to South L.A. shelter. So we will do him on Wednesday. I tried but just couldn’t get there in time with the shelters having shortened their hours for the holidays. It was still a busy day.

Absolutely Last Day Alive
When I got the call on this girl, she was out of time, meaning she could die at any time at the shelter. Why? Because she was deemed aggressive and had failed her temperament test and was very touchy when it came to anyone patting her on the butt. Well I know a lot of humans that are touchy when you pat their butts and are they deemed aggressive? After signing the waiver for her and pulling her out of the shelter, she was a big love bug; very handleable, so sweet, just full of kisses. I loaded her up and off to the fosters we went. When I introduced her to them it was love at first sight. She got along great with them and wanted nothing more to do with me. That’s ok, getting them out and to a safe place is what I do best. Leave the lovin’ to others.
