Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

A Pair of Cuties

January 2, 2014 by Animal Resources

If these little guys aren’t so cute, I don’t know what is. They were a pair of chubby 11 year-olds that were adopted from the shelter 10 years ago, and now have landed back up there again after so long. I don’t know the back story, but sounds like the person who adopted them, either could no longer care for them or passed away and the wonderful relatives dumped them back at the shelter. This is why a plan must be made for the care and maintenance of pets before something happens to the owner. Have them sign a legally binding contract that they will care for them after you can no longer do so. Don’t listen to promises, this will result if you do. These guys are really lucky, they are going to a really good rescue and will be back in a home, together, in no time. Many are not as fortunate as them.

The Sweetest Boxer

December 31, 2013 by Animal Resources

This lady boxer was the sweetest boxer I think I have ever met. This one was just slobbers and kisses from minute one. Just loved everyone. What a great dog. I don’t know her back story as to why she came into the shelter, but whom ever gave her up sure didn’t know much about dogs. You won’t find a sweeter and more lovable one than this one. I can defintely see why the rescue pulled this girl. She will be through the rescue in no time and on her way to a new and hopefully more permanent home than the previous one. What a lady.
