Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

Meet Mable

February 26, 2014 by Animal Resources

Poor Mable, she didn’t know if she was coming or going when I picked her up at the vets office to take her to another vets office to await her transport up north. I could see the look in her eyes that she was trying to tell me that she had already been fixed and didn’t need to do it again. I tried to tell her that we weren’t doing that again, but not sure it got through. Hopefully by tomorrow she will have realized that it was something else and that was behind her and now she had a whole new life to look forward to. I am sure, as cute as she is, her forever home is just days away. Then she can forget her past and move on to a brighter future. At least that’s the plan.

A True Mixed Bag

February 25, 2014 by Animal Resources

Well you would never know it, but all these guys and gals were very lucky indeed. All were on borrowed time and they just made it out of the shelter in time. Then after they went to boarding, the shelter said some were exposed to Parvo by a kennel mate at the shelter. So now some need a double dose of luck as they wait out the waiting period to see if they come down with it (7 days). If they didn’t have bad luck I guess they wouldn’t have any at all. All we can do is wait and see what happens.
