Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

It’s Fun To Be A Boxer

November 9, 2012 by Animal Resources

Today I went to the Camarillo shelter and picked up the boxers: Cooper, was just fine, excited to go and loaded easily; Cookie had to be carried out of the shelter as she just would not walk on a leash. It went the same way with the delivery at the vets, I carried her in and put her on the floor in front of the counter and there she sat. I guess she didn’t know what a leash was. She’d never been trained or socialized much is my guess. Speaks bunches for the former owners. So sad.

It Was Another Busy Day

November 8, 2012 by Animal Resources

First I went to the vet hospital in San Bernardino and picked up the Cocker Spaniel and the Pekingese for a rescue. Then I had to go to the shelter and pick up four more plus pull another one. I pulled the four Chihuahuas as they were rescue only and this was their last day. Then I had to pull one more that was also on his last day. He was sent to be fixed so I didn’t have to transport him. Then I had to go to Palmdale and drop off the first two that I picked up in San Bernardino. After that it was on to the last destination to drop off the remaining four to their rescue. All ended well with everybody where they belonged; all the paperwork and all the dogs at the right rescues. Seven lives saved, that’s what counts.
