Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

Roundup Day

November 15, 2012 by Animal Resources

Today I made different stops to pick up these little guys and get them to the vets for overnight boarding in preparation for their flight to Washington state on Saturday. In Washington they will be picked up by their rescue then go to their new fosters and finally get adopted. It’s a long journey and I am sure they will be very tired when they finally get to their foster home. The 6 hour flight is preferable to the 25 hour overland drive and I am sure they will be much more comfortable, but still tired. It’s very stressful on these guys no matter how much is done to make them comfortable. but it’s the best we can do

November 10, 2012 by Animal Resources

Today I picked up this sweet little guy from a vet in Orange County where he spent a few days getting checked out before moving on. He was fine and was all excited about going to a home instead of another kennel. These little guys do so much better in a home environment than a cold, concrete kennel. But then again, I believe all dogs do. Just not enough fosters for everyone.
