Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go

January 14, 2013 by Animal Resources

Today I went to Orange County and pulled this little gal for a rescue that already had a home waiting for her up along the coast. When I got to the shelter she was just waiting for anyone to pay attention to her. Why she was passed by so many people this weekend, I don’t understand. She is sweet, adorable, already fixed, mostly young, so why not her? It’s all about chemistry. It’s there or it’s not. I am sure that she will be quite happy where she is going, wish others were as fortunate.

Will He Or Won’t He?

January 12, 2013 by Animal Resources

Looking at the photo, you don’t know whether he will or won’t. Well this time he didn’t get a chance to. When I pulled him he was labeled bitey. So the staff was very careful in dealing with him. No one likes to be biten, but most of us have from time to time. I carried this little guy out and placed him in the truck with no problem, off loaded him with no problem and I believe he was, as most dogs are coming out of the shelter, scared out of his little mind. In time he will settle down and be just fine.
