Yep, I had to meet a transporter bringing her back from a foster in Portland, saying she needed more training. Well that’s been arranged and she will spend the next two weeks with a very good trainer, then hopefully be back on the road heading to a new foster, one I hope is better prepared to handle her. There is nothing wrong with Mimi, she’s just a big dog who likes to get her own way. Maybe a little pushy, but not overly so. Whatever the problem, real or imagined, we will see what we can do and correct what we can. Always remember, it’s about the dog, not us.
Meet Luke
Today I picked up Luke from a shelter way out in the desert. Though he was frightened and nervous, he was not aggressive. Given that from what the shelter told me, he had been hit by a car and found alongside a road, he was actually friendly, in his own way. Although I saw no sign of any injury, he will be taken to a vet after we get him checked into boarding. There they can determine if there is anything that medically needs to be done. We already have a rescue that is willing to take him, so after his vet visit it won’t be long til he will be on his way and hopefully a new and better life awaits him.
