Today I pulled these ten from an overcrowded shelter that was just full of great dogs. All I could get in the van were these ten and that helped somewhat with their overcrowded condition. Another rescue was due out later in the day to take more so they should be ok for now. Tomorrow is another day. These little ones are heading up north as soon as we get them vetted, get the health certificates and heartworm test completed then they will be on their way. As cute as these guys are, they will be adopted in a very short time. There is always tomorrow and those that are waiting their turn.
It’s Now Indigo’s Time
If you watch the video you will be able to tell that Indigo suffers from an old leg injury that has never been treated. That’s why we pulled him from the shelter and plan on a complete vet workup to see if that leg can be repaired and maybe lessen any pain he is in because of it. How much will that be you say? Well, the last one came to over $6,000.00 in vet bills, but with Indigo we don’t know the extent of his injury, so for that we will have to wait until we have the vet exam done. But whatever the vets turn up, we will do our best to see that after all is done, that his quality of life will be much better and he can go on to a family and be pain free. All we can do, one dog at a time.
