Today I pulled this assorted crew from a desert shelter; some were scared, some just wanted to go and some had other concerns, like puppies. It was a very long transport to get there and seemed longer to get to the boarding kennel because I was concerned with the pups staying warm. We made it and they were just fine. Mom was concerned about leaving them to get out of the kennel, but we showed her that her pups were right there with her and she followed them inside with not a care in the world. She let us do all the worrying I guess. The others were fine after a little encouragement that the world is a better place now. So that’s how I left them, waiting for the next leg of their journey to begin soon.
Oscar Keeps Improving
These photos are from Oscar’s foster. He had his leg amputated approximately six weeks ago: here he is when he left the vet in March; and here he is when we pulled him from the shelter in February. Thank you to everyone who has and is continuing to help improve Oscar’s quality of life.
