Such A Good Mom

May 29, 2014 by Animal Resources

Today I was in the high desert picking up a mom and her pups. She was a little skinny, but what a good mom. I also picked up this little black lab mix that no one seems to want. Still a pup herself, she had never been on a leash and just didn’t know what to do. So we carried her, as time was short and training will have to wait for a better time. Mom worried about her pups the whole trip even though they were in the next kennel as we traveled to where they will wait for their ride north. All in all this rescue did well and I am sure these will all be in their new homes in no time and will have forgotten their past. We hope so, as we all move on to the next ones, as there always are.

Are We There Yet?

May 10, 2014 by Animal Resources

This group of very happy little dogs were a handful. I picked them up from a shelter out in the high desert early in the morning, and they were ready. It was very hard to get them to hold still for the photos and even harder to hold still for a group photo. I gave up on that and we will just have to live with the singles. As they had all been recently fixed (cones were a giveaway) I had to make sure the kennels were large enough for both them and their cones. Luckily they were and it was off to boarding for a few days before their transport north would pick them up and then I am sure they will be adopted in no time. All were so lively and lovable, who could resist.
