Today I picked up Lexis from a vet office that was not much help when it came to picking up the for rescues. Out they walked with the paperwork, “here you go”, hands you the leash, bye bye is all they will say. Ever try to take pictures of a 4-5 month old puppy, wearing a cone (just got fixed)? Not easy let me tell you. Yes I managed a few head shots but couldn’t back up far enough to get any of the body shots (leash too short). Well he does have four legs, a tail and looks pretty normal to me. I guess the rescue will have to take my word on that detail that the rest of him will follow the head to where he is going. Yep, this vet office staff were real winners. I wonder what else they do in their spare time.
A New Beginning
I spent very little time with these two as I pulled them from a shelter and the rescue was right there to take them home and start them on their next journey as now their previous one has now ended. As to why they were turned in to the shelter or picked up as strays, we may never know but I do know their new home will be better than their last one. Beginning with a loving home and someone who cares whether they live or die is a biggie and something they might not have had before. Each new step on that journey will be one step more away from their past. Good luck guys and may your life be long and happy.
