Today I did the normal spay and neuter runs, but with a twist. I also picked up this big guy, whom I don’t even have his name as nobody knew. Came in as a stray at the shelter and was pulled by a rescue very quickly. He is going to a vet where he will meet a long haul transport going to Washington state, where his new home will be. After dropping off the s-n dogs and cats, then on to San Bernardino for this drop off. Long day and many dogs and cats later, it was finally over. All were where they are supposed to be and tomorrow it will start all over again.
Where Do They Come From???
Looking at the sad, deplorable condition of these two terriers, it just has to make any sane person ask, where the hell did they come from? Who could neglect a dog for so long? They both have little, if any, social skills and act like they never have been around people. They both were terrified of me and others that tried to help them. Were they just thrown in a backyard and totally forgotten? Or are we looking at the end result of a backyard breeder? That may be it, as they don’t, or won’t, socialize their “stock”. How these folks can live with themselves is beyond me. I know it will take a long time before these guys are ready to accept people again. I just hope their rescue has the patience that will be needed. So sad. So unnecessary.
This is the little terrier (shown first on the left above) that was so aggressive, now he is in the tub just a few hours after being a the boarding facility. What a change!
