Once they were out the door and loaded all they asked was “are we there yet?” The shelter was surprised that when they came back with the list, the rescues said we will take them all. So when I left the shelter it was a lot quieter than before, but it was a little more noisy going down the road. With the dogs barking, cell phone chiming away with messages coming in and of course other traffic on the road, it made an interesting drive to the boarding facility. These guys were loading this afternoon for their trip north, so it will be just a short stop for them and then they will be reloaded again and it’s off to the far north for these lucky ones. Now we need to just work on the ones left behind. They can’t be forgotten.
As Long As It’s Black
Yes, today I picked up this very cute pittie mom and her 7 pups. There was not even one of them that didn’t look like all the others. All were plumb, 7-8 weeks old and all were just black; not even a trace of any other color. We all know in adoptions that the coloration and variation in coats always help get them adopted sooner. Well with this group they will have to try a little harder on their spiel, maybe just stick with how adorable mom is and all will be just like her. We hope.
