Today I picked up Chaz from the Santa Paula shelter for her vet appointment to try and find out what her physical issues are then maybe correct them. As it turns out there is no surgical fix for her so it comes down to finding someone to live with her problem, or they will have to put her down for medical reasons. So sad and she is such a love bug. Her issue is that she can’t control her bowel movement and it just goes and goes, then she shakes her butt and it goes everywhere within 10 ft of her. She was born with the spinal cord pinched at the butt, so has no control. A very tough case. They are working on it, not sure how this will turn out, so sad.
Just Plain Neglect
As you can see, this Chow girl was and is in bad shape. She is about 6 years old and doesn’t look like she was ever properly taken care of. I bet she has never seen a vet, been bathed, brushed or in any way been part of family. Just thrown in the back yard and barely fed. Well at least now she will have chance, the rescue that she is going to will make dreams come true. That I have no doubt. The other little guys I picked up to give a ride to the boarding facility were they will await their ride north. I know it’s a lot of moving around, but in the end it will be worth it. Just have patience a little while longer.
