Today I picked up this 4 month old Dobie pup, that really did have a back right leg issue, but that’s not why she was being carried. Shelter policy says pups can’t be walked to their transport. Ok, makes sense to me but not to the pup. She wanted down to walk. Well she didn’t. We loaded her up and when we got to boarding she finally did walk and then you could see the back leg issue. She will be seeing the vet next week and the rescue will let me know what they find out about how bad her leg really is. I will let you know when I know.
All By Himself
Today I pulled this one little pom from a high kill shelter. I only spent 5 minutes with him as a foster was taking him home for the night and will take him to boarding tomorrow because everything was closed today. That only means that rescues need to get creative if they want to save a dog’s life. And this one certainly needed saving as he was on his last day, as so many are. So with a short break, he will be on the road again, but every mile traveled is one closer to his forever home, somewhere.
