Meet Arnie, who has been waiting at a no kill shelter since March 2014. Today was his first day outside the shelter and all he could do was smell all the other dogs at the house where he will be staying until his forever home finds him. Arnie is what you call a pocket pit. Very small, but very muscular. And he was so sweet, just wanted to explore everything. I know he will get along fine with the other household members (4-legged type) once they get through the meet and greet. I would like to have stayed and watched, but I had to run. I am sure I will be hearing about Arnie down the road somewhere. And that home will find him too.
On Their Way
I loaded these two up at a no kill shelter and transported them to a meet up location in central CA. They were great on the ride north and when we got there they were both let out for a potty break; then one was loaded for her trip farther north and the husky was reloaded and we waited for her ride to show. I left the slip lead on him as it was very difficult to get on in the first place. When the other transport showed up, I reached in grabbed the lead and out she jumped and I was standing there holding half of it. She ran around McDonalds for a few minutes then came back. Heart attack time. All ended well and then off she went to a foster home and hopefully gets adopted soon.
