When I picked up these three at a boarding facility they looked very confused and were really wondering what was going on. They were all friendly but just didn’t quite make the connection as to what was happening. I believe they had been in boarding for a while, so it was like leaving some place they knew and starting all over again. People don’t realize how hard it is on the dogs to move from place to place. As these guys were all going north with the afternoon transport, we had to get them where they needed to be. You still can’t help but feel for them. I know that good homes await them so it makes all this worthwhile. But the feelings are still there.
Another Last Minute Mom And Her Pups
Again, it was a last minute rush to get this mom and pups out before it was kill time. And again a rescue steps up and saves the day. Day after day this goes on and on. But sometimes the rescue doesn’t come forward and then they are killed. So sad and so preventable. You can’t blame the shelters, it’s the people who are at fault. Maybe they don’t have access to low cost spay-neuter, or maybe they just don’t care. Whatever the reason, the results will lay on the cold concrete floor before being tossed into the ever present barrel. End of story.
