You Just Have Wonder How It Happened

February 22, 2013 by Animal Resources

As you can see from the photos, this poor little girl had 2, approximately 6-inch long rips in her side, plus tooth marks on other parts of her body. We know that those are bite wounds from something, most likely a larger dog, how it happened we don’t know. She was pulled from a shelter and taken to the vets to be looked at and placed on meds before I picked her up at the vets office. She is all ready for her trip up north having had all her shots and received her health cert and is now awaiting transport to go to a fosters in the near future. I am sure she will have scars that she will carry the rest of her life over this. I just hope that her future adoptive parents have a lot of patience and love. It’s her time to move on.

Another Busy Day

February 21, 2013 by Animal Resources

First I went to the Santa Paula shelter picked up 4 cats and delivered them to an adoption store front in Pasadena. Sorry no photos, just kitties in carriers. But a recording would have been nice, as they were very vocal the whole trip. It was a little different from the usual dog barks. After they were dropped off it was off to the city shelter in San Bernardino. There I picked up 7 dogs, but only 5 photos as one was very adamant about not loading and was just as physical on unloading, so no time for photos. I do my best, but my concern is focused on the dogs and photos often don’t get taken. Sorry, but there is just one of me trying to do it all. Most of the time it works, but not always.
