That’s the way it goes at the shelter sometimes. Some dogs aren’t available yet, some are dead, and some are reclaimed by their owners. You just never know until you go to the counter and start the process. Some shelters are very organized and know what they are doing; others, not so much. Some shelters I like working with as they do try to care about the dogs; others, not so much. I always feel like every dog that I pull now has that second chance, a new lease on life. From this moment forward it’s all about them. Thank God for the great rescues I work with as I know that they will all find homes that some have never had, and for others is now only a memory.
The Cocker Twins
Well today was their day, finally; I pull these two from a shelter and they were glad to be gone. I believe they are young and had belonged to someone before, as they didn’t look as bad as cockers do at times from being badly neglected. I am sure that they have had their grooming done in the past. You have to wonder what their story is; owner died, moved, or just up and dumped them. If only they could talk, what a story they would have to tell. But if they could talk, they wouldn’t be there in the first place.
